As part of the Small and Micro Enterprises Entrepreneurial Innovation Base City Demonstration Project, FinChi has applied for the qualification as an Innovative Incubation Center at Shanghai Pudong Science and Technology Innovation Promotion this summer. And thanks to our great success in helping over 100 Finnish companies, especially the SMEs, to start business in China in past 11 years, FinChi was officially licensed by the authority on July 26th, 2016.

Along with the qualification is the supporting policies from the local authority which aim at help the SMEs and Startups to grow healthily in the licensed Innovative Innovation Centers.

So,how can a company in FinChi get the benefit? We screened the long list of different programs and selected the most suitable ones as below for your information:

1> Rent subsidy

Any wholly foreign owned company registered in FinChi and rented office space in FinChisince January 1st, 2015 can apply for the rent subsidy, which is 50% for up to 12 months (maximum RMB 150,000)

2> Bonus for Overseas Innovative Project

Any foreign project set up and registered their own wholly foreign owned company in FinChi since January 1st, 2015, successfully injected registered capital over RMB 500,000 to the company with foreign employees, can apply for a bonus of RMB 50,000.

3> Bonus for IP Application

Any company registered in FinChi since January 1st, 2015, can apply for bonus of RMB 10,000 for its first successful IP registration and for bonus of RMB 5,000 for first registered trade mark in use.Additional IP is RMB 3,000 per item. Company who is registered and approved by intellectual property management system can apply for another bonus of RMB 100,000.

4> Bonus for Technical Project

Any company registered in FinChi has signed technical development or transfer contract under the identified and registered technical contract, can apply for 6% subsidy based on the contract value (maximum RMB 100,000)
Any company registered in FinChi has signed technical consulting or service contract under the identified and registered technical contract, can apply for 1% subsidy based on the contract value (maximum RMB 30,000)

The deadline for the application this time is August 20th, 2016, and we have already started the application for our qualified clients. HOWEVER! We believe that the local authorities will launch more policies to support our start-ups and SMEs incubated in the licensed incubators in the future.
